BACKGROUND:
Like many triathletes, Brent got introduced to the sport through his passion for swimming and running track while in school. Brent also loved biking so triathlon was a natural fit.

A 2004 Olympian, Brent has been climbing his way up the international standings ever since, and now regularly finds himself in the top-20 at international events.

Brent introduced himself to the half-Ironman world in grand fashion last year where he won his first 70.3 km triathlon event in New Orleans.

When not competing in triathlons, Brent enjoys mountain biking, skiing and running.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS:
• Won Bronze Medal at 2009 World Team Championships
• First top-five World Cup finish at Cancun, Mexico in 2007
• Top-20 finishes at the 2005, 2008 and 2009 World Championships
• 2008 National Champion
• Second-place finish at the 2005 National Championships
• Third-place finish at 2006 National Championships
• Competed in 2004 Olympic Summer Games, and finished 39th.
