For almost 15 years, the Friends of Triathlon program has been an important factor in the success of our Kids of Steel® program, which, in turn, has produced many outstanding triathletes.

The Friends of Triathlon Program gives athletes the chance to be their best. Through the tremendous support from Friends of Triathlon, Canada’s finest triathletes including Simon Whitfield and Kirsten Sweetland have been able to compete at the International level and train to their fullest potential.

But the Kids of Steel® program is more than just about producing world-class athletes. It has helped thousands of young Canadians develop athletic skills, fitness, discipline and character which are key ingredients in becoming outstanding citizens. Our sport also helps develop community spirit, an increasingly important aspect of any successful society. One does not have to look far to see examples of societies where a strong community does not exist and the resultant chaos. Not only does our sport help create community spirit, it is also very dependent on it – think of the literally tens of thousands of Canadian volunteers who have made our sport such a success in the last twenty years!

Looking to the future, we hope to develop Friends of Triathlon so it strengthens community involvement in our sport and in turn gives us more resources to develop our athletes. It is an exciting prospect!

you will help us again this year and in the future.

The attached form allows you to nominate a program where you would like your donation to be applied. Please remember that a donation cannot be directed for the benefit of a specific athlete.

Each donor will receive a report on how the Friends of Triathlon funds are spent.
In addition to that:

1. A certificate for tax-deductible purposes will be issued for all donations over $10.

2. To all donors over $200, you will also be sent a Canadian team momento.
