BACKGROUND:
Jeff’s introduction to triathlon came in 2002 while participating in a Kids of Steel event in his hometown of St. Albert, Alta. when he was 13 years old.
With the three sport disciplines, Jeff was hooked on the unpredictability of triathlon because anyone can win on any given day. Admitting that running is the strongest set of skills he brings to the sport, Jeff has been making steady progress in his development into an elite triathlete.
Building on the experience he gained while representing Canada at the 2008 World Junior Championships, Jeff will race for the first time in the Under-23 category in 2009.
During his rookie season on the National Development Team, Jeff will focus on earning a spot in the Under-23 World Championships, and to train and compete at the highest level possible.
CAREER HIGHLIGHTS:
• Represented Canada at 2008 World Junior Championships – finished 37th
• Finished 26th at 2008 National Championships
